Position: Security Guard Schedule: 4PM - 12:30AM and 12:00AM - 8:30AM Join us at The Chesapeake where we impact lives and build careers! This Security Guard oversees and maintains the overall safety and security of residents, team members, visitors and buildings in the community. • Makes repeated security and safety rounds inside and outside of community buildings
• Follows security schedules and job routines
• Clearly & concisely communicates in a professional, courteous, and pleasant manner with all residents, visitors, & team members
• Quickly, accurately, and appropriately interprets and responds to resident’s urgent care needs and dispatch appropriate response(s) to calls for assistance
• Uses personal computers and programs tied to the campus emergency response system
• Works in conjunction with SARA system
• Uses equipment daily including vehicles, radios, computers, carts, phones, computers
• Complies with infection control regulations, guidelines, and policies
• Assists in in-servicing relating to security such as fire drills, emergency evacuation
• Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion

Minimum Qualifications:

• COVID-19 vaccination or medical/religious exemption required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service setting as security or related field is preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions and convers in English
• Valid driver's license with a clean background
• Must be able to relate to the needs and concerns of senior adults
