Public Relations Specialist

Full-time

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for creating and managing the public image of LaPraim and our clientele. The position requires excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills and a passion for connecting with the media outlets and public to create effective campaigns. The candidate must have an understanding of public relations principles, strategies, tactics, and technologies that can be used to cultivate relationships in support of the company’s goals. They must possess creativity as well as a deep knowledge of current trends across various industries in order to come up with original ideas while staying on-brand.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable in lieu of degree

Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to write for different types of audiences

Ability to think strategically and manage multiple projects concurrently

Ability to analyze industry trends and make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, social media platforms, and other relevant software applications.

Demonstrated knowledge of PR best practices.

Passionate about relationships and connecting people with one another.

Responsibilities:

Developing corporate communications plans based on overall business objectives

Establishing strong media relationships to ensure timely delivery of newsworthy content

Managing and tracking media coverage

Coordinating interviews with internal and external subject matter experts

Creating press releases, feature stories, fact sheets, and other materials to inform both the media and public

Developing strategic messaging for key audiences

Organizing events such as press briefings, webinars, product launches, etc.

Monitoring social media channels for relevant industry trends and engaging with stakeholders when necessary.

Analyzing campaigns to measure effectiveness of PR efforts in order to adjust strategies accordingly.

Booking and coordinating speaking events and keynotes.
