Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Hybrid Entry-Level Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team on a temporary basis in Iselin, NJ. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule—three days in the office and two days working from home—providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while contributing to the company's financial operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, and collaborating with customers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies. Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with multiple stakeholders are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable across multiple entities and cost centers.
- Manage and process all incoming invoices and payments for Accounts Payable.
- Track and monitor Accounts Receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile A/R and A/P accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices, payments, or credits.
- Assist with cash flow management, ensuring timely payments and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly A/P and A/R reports for senior management.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records within accounting software.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
- Assist in financial audits and participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or 7+ years of relevant work experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for working with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
