Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager. As a member of the SWARCO McCain family, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, cycle counting, light assembly, and local customer deliveries. Ensure efficient handling of materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and support logistics processes to meet customer and business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain all of Oregon inventory and bin locations.
  • Responsible to maintain inventory accuracy level of 95% or higher by actively supporting Oregon’s daily inventory cycle counts and taking the lead role in resolving root causes of inventory accuracy issues.
  • Investigate and gather information from multiple sources to resolve issues that may have occurred.
  • Oversee the Northwest territory backlog report.
  • Handle shipping and receiving for the Oregon office.
  • Maintain orderly files of receiving and shipping documents.
  • Organize warehouse and stockroom.
  • Light assembly of signals and other products as required for shipment and delivery.
  • Handle all RMAs after sales has processed the initial form.
  • Pull material kit pulls, material requests as required.
  • Maintain import/export Excel documents and packing lists.
  • Handle customer and company deliveries and pick-ups within the Salem area.
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, transportation companies and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • State driver’s license with satisfactory DMV driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience. Working experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management and/or an environment that requires accuracy, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in material control and receiving.
  • MRP/ERP experience a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Great Plains a plus, but not required.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous responsibility for executing inventory counts, including cycle counts.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, delegate, multi-task and manage a complex workload.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
  • Strong inventory analysis and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and make recommendations.
  • Forklift experience/certification preferred.

Physical Conditions / Requirements

  • Work mostly in a controlled indoor environment with some exposures to the elements.
  • Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
  • Job frequently requires sitting, walking, standing, and handling objects.
  • Job occasionally requires kneeling, stooping, forward bending, reaching, and talking. Some occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and or electronically.
  • Hearing requirements: Ability to hear people over the telephone and in person; hear noise in surrounding areas, i.e., forklifts in warehouse for safety purposes.

Salary Description

$65k - $75k per year, depending on experience
