Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations at Just Ingredients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, supply chain, shipping, and people management. This role will ensure that our products are efficiently stored, managed, packaged, and distributed to meet customer demands. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team, maintain optimal inventory levels, ensure product quality standards, and oversee all logistics to support the company’s production and distribution needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished products in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to health, safety, and quality standards. Time management of warehouse teams with accuracy of attendance and special high-volume orders and special event sales. Generate reports on productivity, order fulfillment, and performance metrics.
  • Inventory Control: Work closely with the inventory control specialist to maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, monitor product shelf life, ensure proper storage conditions for health and wellness products, and minimize waste using lean strategies.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinating between departments, supply chains, shipping leads, inventory specialists, third-party logistics providers, etc., to ensure the timely distribution of products to customers or retail partners.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the warehouse complies with all health and safety regulations, particularly those concerning food safety standards and the handling of food-based products.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products stored and shipped meet the company’s high quality and safety standards.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure all customer orders are processed and fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Monitor the packing and labeling process to ensure compliance with product standards.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations, aiming for efficiency, cost reduction, and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with production, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials and finished goods to meet production schedules and customer demands. Maintain effective communications with all team members and cross functional departments.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, operations, or supply chain management.
    • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a supervisory or managerial role
    • Experience in e-commerce warehousing and distribution
    • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Experience with Packiyo or NetSuite software is preferred
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a changing environment
    • Identify root cause issues and create sustainable solutions
    • Create a dynamic team environment with excellent judgment and discretion
    • Integrity, reliability, and commitment to quality
  • Certifications: Forklift operator certification needed and first-aid training is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • On-site, full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or overtime work as needed for special sale events.
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures and timelines
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
