Reframe Systems is on a mission to build net-zero carbon housing for all, at massive scale. To achieve our mission, we need to make net-zero carbon housing more affordable and we are re-imagining how housing is designed and built. Our modular building platform and highly-automated production system will drive down cost, delivery time, and embodied carbon for ADUs and multifamily housing. We are setting up our first software driven factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA), and have a roadmap to scale our presence nationally. We are disrupting assembly line manufacturing for housing production and are backed by leading VC firms in the industrial and construction space.
We are looking for a Test Engineer - Software and Robotics to join the technology engineering team and lead our strategy, implementation and execution for software and robotics systems testing. The ideal candidates has excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and should continually raises-the-bar for performance in production. As a small and fast growing company, this is an opportunity for a self-motivated individual to establish and own a testing culture and process from the ground up.
Create detailed test plans and test cases for robotics systems and software. Identify test requirements and design test strategies to cover various aspects of the system, including functionality, performance, and reliability.
Design and implement automation tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
Integrate automating tooling into the CI/CD pipeline and partner with engineering to develop a testing and release strategy.
Execute tests plans and procedures, often with hardware in-the-loop, to maintain both quality and R&D efforts.
Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects. Ensure tests results are documented accurately.
Shape a culture of innovation, quality, and mentorship within the quickly growing technology group.
Strong knowledge of test methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience designing test plans, test scripts, and aggregating test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
Professional engineering knowledge of best practices; code reviews, code standards, source management, CI/CD, testing, and full software life cycle.
Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively.
Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently
Proficiency coding and scripting, minimum of C++ and Python.
Experience in quality assurance engineering.
Hands on experience with robotics systems and automation
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Hands on experience with safety systems and machine safety
