Hope Ranch Learning Academy is a private Christian school in Hudson, Florida. Set on a horse ranch, Hope Ranch Learning Academy has been serving the unique needs of students with Autism and unique abilities for over 20 years. We are growing rapidly and are looking for vibrant, innovative, and experienced Teacher Aides for our K-12 students.

The ideal Teacher Aide candidate would have experience in classroom management, special education, and an AA Degree. Our top Teacher Aide candidates would be responsible for assisting in classroom instruction (for classes no larger than 16 students), following lesson plans, managing student behavior, and providing individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs if selected. The Teacher Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher and school administration to support the academic success of all students.

Responsibilities:

• Implements daily lesson plans provided by the Lead Teacher. Lesson plans should be creative; appropriate to both the class and to individual students; modified as needed; engaging to students; related to curriculum goals and objectives; developed to utilize a variety of media, methods, techniques, and strategies; and designed to maximize each student’s abilities and achievements.
• Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
• Participates in other supervisory or monitoring responsibilities of students, such as during lunch, recess, to/from school activities, or school outings.
• Manage student behavior and maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher, school administration, and other special education staff to develop and implement academic support plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of student attendance and grades.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree ( REQUIRED ).
• 2+ years of teaching experience (REQUIRED).
• Experience working with students with special needs (Preferred).
• Comfortable working and participating in a Christian Private School environment.
• Current and Valid Driver's License.
• Experience in classroom management and behavior modification techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to provide proof of degree(s) and/or certification(s).
• Be able to pass a Level 2 Background Clearance.

About Hope Ranch Learning Academy:

Our non-Denominational Christian Private School is set on a wooded horse ranch, and we focus on students with Autism and other learning disabilities. We use innovative teaching and classroom management techniques which include the Teaching Family Model and horse interaction as part of the academic experience.Classrooms consist of 1 Lead Teacher, 1-2 Teaching Assistants and a maximum of 15 students. The Elementary classroom has a 5:1 Student to Instructor ratio and our Middle and High School Classroom has a max of 8:1 Student to Instructor ratio.
