The Supervising Program Technician II in the Quality Update and Expedite Section (QUES) is the first level of supervision whose responsibilities are to distribute, monitor, and prioritize the workload of the QUES; maintain work quality assurance and perform and delegate error resolution as necessary; train, advise, and assist personnel who update data on the Automated Criminal History System; resolve or assist in resolving the most complicated work that technicians are unable to handle; monitor and evaluate attendance and work performances and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Remote and hybrid schedules are subject to management approval. In addition, approved remote and hybrid schedules may be delayed for training purposes.

A fingerprint check is required.
