Ace Hardware - Urgent Sporting Goods Manager Needed

The General Store, located in Spokane, WA, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sporting Goods Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive work environment. Customer Service

• Proactively assist customers and provide positive representation of the store
• Greet customers warmly and ensure their needs are met
• Handle customer complaints effectively and maintain excellent product knowledge

Store Operations

• Supervise the Sporting Goods department and assist with overall store management
• Maintain desirable inventory levels and ensure store profitability
• Monitor and manage inventory shrink, as well as oversee maintenance and repairs

Store Support Operations

• Implement Store Support programs and ensure successful Loss Prevention and Safety practices
• Assist with special projects as directed by the General Manager

Hiring and Training of Associates

• Conduct management staff meetings and provide effective training and development
• Recruit and support the advancement of store associates

Leadership

• Challenge associates to improve merchandising, control expenses, and increase sales
• Lead by example and be approachable to both associates and customers
• Hourly position with a pay rate of $23/hr, working a minimum of 45 hours/week
• Quarterly bonus and monthly spiffs
