Job Description
What You Can Expect As the Senior Software Engineer (Architecture) in Houston, Texas for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be the lead software developer in a cross-functional development group. Within ENGIE's dynamic environment, you will support the software development architecture needs of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) software development team. Every day, you will report to the Software Director of Engineering to assist with implementing Linux-based applications leveraging third-party and open-source code.
What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field of study
- A minimum of five (5) years designing and implementing customer facing user interfaces
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience developing in a Linux environment
- Ability to read and write C/C++/C# language programs
- Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as PERL, Python or similar
- Deep understanding of software configuration management systems such as Git or Subversion
- Familiarity with MathWorks tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Coder, toolboxes, Designer) for modeling and simulation
Additional Details - This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Occasional Travel may be required
Compensation Salary Range: $112,000 - $172,500 USD annually
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
