The School of Politics, Society, Justice, and Public Service ( SPSJPS ) of Central Michigan University ( CMU ) invites applications for a tenure track assistant/associate professor of Social Work. The Social Work program, which is CSWE -accredited, teaches generalist practice with an emphasis on rural settings and is one of four disciplines within SPSJPS : Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology and Social Work.
SPSJPS seeks an experienced, passionate practitioner and scholar who has a strong interest in social justice issues and in collaborating across multiple disciplines/communities. Faculty responsibilities will include teaching core courses in the BSW program, advisement of students and related social work program service responsibilities. Responsibilities may include support for the development of a proposed online DSW program and assistance in field education for social work students.

The School of Politics, Society, Justice, and Public Service ( SPSJPS ) has four units: Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, and Social Work. Units in the School teach undergraduate programs in International Relations, Political Science, Pre-Law, Public and Nonprofit Administration, Sociology, Social and Criminal Justice, Social Work, and Youth Studies. Additionally, the School offers a Master of Public Administration degree at the graduate level.
