Location: Remote
Category: Flexible, Part-time (15 hours) to Full-time (40 hours)
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Role Overview:

As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engage our audience, and foster a strong online community. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, excellent content creation skills, and a proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with SOULCHI's brand and business objectives.
  • Identify target audiences and create tailored content to engage and grow our online community.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure SOULCHI remains a leader in the digital space.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging content (text, images, video) for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of posts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics and videos.

Community Engagement:

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive and engaged online community by initiating conversations, responding to inquiries, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Identify and engage with influencers, brand advocates, and potential collaborators to amplify our reach and impact.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Generate regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Use data-driven approaches to refine and optimize social media strategies and content.

Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, PR, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to social media efforts.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for social media campaigns and content.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on social media best practices and trends.

Qualifications:

  • (Preferred but not required) Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3 years or more experience in social media management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing social media accounts for brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to produce engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns is a plus.

Equity-Based Compensation Opportunity:

As part of the SOULCHI team, you'll take part in our equity-based compensation model, aligning your success with the success of our business. After much research we have found the fairest equity model for a startup. We use the Slicing Pie model. First phase is equity-based only, which we are currently in. Equity calculations move dynamically based on your fair market rate and actual number of hours worked. In the second phase, which happens at the break-even point, the equity freezes at each member's current earned percentage and compensation switches to salary + benefits. Your equity percentage gets paid out annually as part of the profit sharing. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to own a piece of the future.
