Caterpillar Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer at its facility located at 501 SW Jefferson Ave, Peoria, IL 61630. Perform implementation, problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development. Direct the development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness. Design, modify, develop, write, and implement code for web/mobile applications. Write source codes for new applications, and/or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications. Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components. Utilize automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance. Acquire client requirements, ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements. Work on infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. REQS: This position requires a master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, UI Developer, or related occupation involving development on object-oriented and function programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala. Additionally, the applicant must have two (2) years of employment experience with: (1) Data integration development; (2) DevOps CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jira, and Jenkins; (3) Software tools and technologies, including AWS, Lambda, and SQS/SNS; (4) Web application and UI development with JavaScript, RESTful API, HTML 5, and CSS3; and (5)
