Senior Design Engineer - Molding Tools

Location: Horsham, PA (100% onsite - relocation offered)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mold Designer to join our team and be responsible for designing molding tools. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in mold design and incredibly hands-on. Advanced understanding of tool design and fabrication techniques is necessary for this position, in addition to other essential manufacturing engineer competencies like project management expertise, a dedication to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and install molding tools and assembly equipment
• Analyze production and machine requirements.
• Create and test efficient automated and manual systems. 
• Integrate disparate systems (e.g., equipment handling and transportation). 
• Address production issues and delays. 
• Train staff on new and existing processes.
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers. 
• Ensure that manufacturing procedures adhere to safety and environmental regulations. 
• Upgrade systems and processes with new technology. 
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve all procurement-related issues, such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities meet legal and regulatory requirements. 
• Manage non-standard requests to maintain high-quality service in all areas of the business.
• Other Duties as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of of direct experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Associate's degree or a tool and die making training certificate is preferred
• Expertise in mold design and fabrication processes
• Proficient in using SolidWorks
• Experience with tool and die design and assembly
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability for occasional travel for training and/or to support customer needs
