The Opportunity: On June 10, 2024, NASA announced CACI, Inc . as their awardee of the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) contract. Lentech, Inc. will assist CACI, Inc. as a subcontractor on that contract. Work will be supporting the entire NASA enterprise at all NASA Centers and locations, including the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Alabama, the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Texas, the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Maryland, and the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Lentech has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platforms Services (NCAPS) contract. Selected candidates will deliver and sustain capabilities in a fast-paced SAFe Agile development environment. More specifically, are looking for candidates who will deliver expert-level information cybersecurity direction and support consolidating NASA's enterprise IT system.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Public Trust Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% (Type of Travel: Continental US) Job Functions and Responsibilities: As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering:
- Apply expert knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
- Support enterprise Cybersecurity standards.
- In coordination with Government, develop and implement Cybersecurity standards and procedures.
- Coordinate, develop, and recommend security processes for an organization.
- Recommend Cybersecurity solutions to support customers requirements.
- Identify and report security violations.
- Recommend and satisfy Cybersecurity requirements based upon the analysis of CSPP, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
- Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of processes and policies.
- Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
- Supports design and development of security features for system architecture requirements.
- Analyze and makes recommendations of security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
- Support design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet CSPP requirements.
- Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
- Analyze general Cybersecurity-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
- Supports vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
- Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems data assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access, theft, or destruction.
- Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure.
- Ensure cyber monitoring is performed timely and cyber responses occur within established processes/procedures
- Leads team support efforts for critical processes outside of normal hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Lead rapid response to quickly resolve cyber events
- Communicate with senior customer stakeholders on reporting metrics (e.g., # of events, average time to respond, affected applications or platforms, etc.)
- Lead preparation and distribution of cyber/IA required reporting
- Be the NCAPS program point of contact for collaborating and coordinating with other NASA enterprise contract vendors on cyber/IA activities
Requirements: - Must be a U.S. citizen
- Active Public Trust clearance with ability to obtain higher level clearance if needed
- College degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related applicable experience considered in lieu of degree
- One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC.
- Prior experience in cyber and IA security activities on a large, complex program
- 10+ years related technical experience
- 15 or more years of applicable experience in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST Information Technology Security Special Publications (SP) 800 series
- Proven ability in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring security measures to protect computer networks and information.
- Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative IA principles and ideas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field, or higher education preferred.
- Prior experience supporting NASA programs.
- Experience managing operations in an Agile environment
- Experience with SecDevOps and Agile processes and/or tools

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,100-$172,400
