LaSalle Network is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant – Payroll to join our client’s dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, self-funding and possess excellent analytical skills.  Our client is a large, driven healthcare company based outside of downtown Nashville, TN. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Senior Accountant – Payroll Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursement
• Manage and maintain self-funded payroll systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Perform payroll reconciliations, ensuring all payroll transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual payroll summaries
• Manage payroll tax filings, ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes and other related documents
• Assist with internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and support
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing excellent customer service

Senior Accountant – Payroll Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant with a focus on payroll management and self-funding
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and self-funding mechanisms
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
