Job Description

We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team.

We are hiring a full-time School Nurse (RN) to work with students ages 3-5 years old.

Rate Range: $41.00-$47.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to address student health concerns.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with Oregon Department of Education (ODE), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and school health policies.
• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for students with medical needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current Oregon RN Licensure (issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing – OSBN).
• Oregon School Nurse Certification (preferred but not required for some districts).
  
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
