We are looking to add a Sales & Catering coordinator to our team. Job Description: The Sales and Catering Coordinator will support the Sales and events team in the office by fulfilling multiple administrative duties, by having a working knowledge of the Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort & Spa, and by having a full understanding of Standard Operating Procedures in the overall department and throughout the company. The successful candidate will:

• Develop a full working knowledge of Opera and Delphi & utilize daily.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Answer inquiry calls, record in Delphi prior to transferring calls to an event manager.
• Track all Direct Bill applications for all sales account, where applicable.
• Work closely with Event Managers on group room blocks.
• Turn all signed Regional Sales Office contracts over to the Event Department.
• Print daily reports as required by catering team.
• Conduct file and/or Delphi audits for form of payments, signed agreements, food and beverage minimums, etc.
• Complete and distribute amenity requests.
• Input data into spreadsheets and/or Delphi.
• As needed, load groups into Delphi and merge contracts.
• Create Group Resumes for each incoming event and distribute during Resume every Tuesday.
• Complete BEOs for all in-house groups as well as 30-day dry meetings.
• Responsible for BEO 10-Day Distribution every Monday.
• Order any new office supplies and replenish inventory as needed.
• Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of one-year experience in hospitality industry.
• Prefer degree in hospitality or related field.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills; prefer OPERA, Delphi, Excel.
• Must demonstrate a general understanding of hotel operations and ability to grasp revenue concepts.
• Must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Must work well with a variety of individuals. Must be punctual and dependable.
