Come Work With Us, Not For Us
Stop working at a job that you hate. Work with friends in an environment that rewards you for your hard work and provides a lifelong career if you so choose.
You show up early because you can’t wait to hang out with the other members of your team.
You work hard because everyone else on your team works hard too. You develop your skills today, and every day because you know that leading by example and growing in your position opens up a career for life.
At the end of the day, you wrap up the last few tasks and hang out with your friends for a few minutes again before heading home. Or maybe some of you hang out in off-work hours playing cornhole/bags or other games.
Does this sound like a place you’d like to spend your day?
If you’re a clock-puncher who wants to do as little as possible, this job is not for you.
But…
...then we want to talk to you.
We’re looking for team members who love to improve, to earn the money and recognition they deserve, and to have a career in an environment where you work with friends every day.
Some reasons people like working here:
Contribute to our team culture of people who are not afraid of hard work. We care about you, your family and your free time, and we want you to have the balance to enjoy them; we want to help you achieve your life goals and can provide tips and education to help you be successful.
Who are we? We’re WOH Services. We are an award-winning company with hundreds of online reviews across the web, and 98% of them are perfect 5-star ratings. We have thousands of happy customers. Job Description
Field Technician
You showed up for work, chatted with your teammates, and grabbed a snack and drink before loading your assigned work vehicle. You’ve got the education to understand what’s to be done… now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and put it into action. After a quick encouraging team meeting, you drive to the first customer’s house and introduce yourself and your teammate to the homeowner with a smile. You wrap up the first project of the day. The customer is so thankful and gives you a tip. You’re looking forward to the next one.
Job Duties:
Work as a team: You stay in contact with the office to make sure everything is updated if needed – everyone pitches in, because it’s about serving the customer as a team.
Develop your expertise: You clean windows, siding, and gutters and install gutter guards and holiday lights, knowing that you’re adding a positive experience to our customers' lives through the services we offer, giving them more free time and peace of mind. You gain a growing expertise in the services we offer and become a home service expert!
Become a trusted professional: You keep your tools neat, clean, and well maintained so they’re safe, handy and ready for use. You are detail-oriented. You’ll learn to use our software, understand job-scope, estimating, equipment, etc., and keep everyone informed – from the customer to the team back at the office. You’re ready to become a trusted industry expert with your own apprentices.
Pathways to advancement: Push yourself and you can advance quickly to Lead Service Expert or assistant supervisor and manage your own team. Maybe your next goal is to become a supervisor and manage other teams. Each pathway to advancement opens doors for more pay. Who knows, maybe you'll advance all the way to Vice President or CEO or help us start another location.
Job Requirements:
We usually start at the shop in Bloomington at 7:30 am and work until jobs are finished, which is usually between 3 and 4. Some days, jobs go longer than expected and crews are out later, and sometimes they're finished sooner. Let us know if you have a strict early evening schedule.
You love to learn: You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. You don’t need experience to apply here, we will train you, but experience with extension ladders is a plus. Most importantly, you have a drive to learn more, because you know that it serves everyone – customers, teammates, and yourself. You efficiently complete your requirements and ask, “What’s next?” You’ll learn our culture, job site safety, how to serve customers at a high level, and get an overview of our systems and processes.
You’re a hard-working people person: You love the challenge you’re posed with and the adventure of completing a job well done. At the same time, you’re comfortable talking to a homeowner and professionally educating them in what their options are. Service recommendations, technical information, cleaning agents? No problem.
You’re ready to work: You have a driver’s license, a ready-to-work attitude, and no problem handling the physical demands of the job – such as NO FEAR OF HEIGHTS, working from extension ladders, lifting 50 lbs or more., hot summers and cold winters.
You’re a professional: You are clean, neat, and well-groomed in appearance, and you understand that safety is paramount. You use good judgement. You learn every aspect of the job. You look, speak, and dress like a professional. You keep your work area clean and orderly. You are focused and clear-headed. You don’t let mistakes slide by. Instead, you learn from them and ask questions when you're not sure about something. You complete work orders by the deadline. You are honest and take ownership for your mistakes. You are level-headed, respectful, and optimistic. You keep improving.
