VIP staffing is Immediately Hiring a Production supervisor for a leading company in Belen, NM

As a Production Supervisor you will: 

• Lead the daily manufacturing activities and coordinating resources required to accomplish daily production requirements. 
• Ensure production targets are being met safely without sacrificing quality. 
• Review daily work schedule and prioritize required tasks and assign manpower accordingly to accomplish workload
• Lead by example by consistently following safety, quality and production procedures, guidelines, work instructions and process flows.
• Notify production manager of all incidents, including accidents, injuries, rejected batches as soon as reasonably possible.
• Investigate incidents and forward written reports to production manager. Includes recommended corrective action to prevent incident from recurring. 
• Demonstrate accountability and leadership skills of establishing trust, motivating teams, providing all staff with timely and clear performance feedback. 
• Ensure production targets and KPI's (key performance indicators) are met
• Participate in periodic safety and/or quality audits. Communicate audit results with department associates. 
• Develop and implement corrective actions list
• Maintain a high level of good housekeeping within the plant at all times. 
• Coordinate the training process of all new associates by setting up training schedule, overseeing tools, machinery, training curriculum and observation of competency in accordance with defined procedure, equipment and safety checklists.
• Prohibits new employees from working unsupervised until proven to be competent in the specific task. 
• Schedules and approves overtime hours on designated shifts as required. 
• Maintains and audits daily production logs by the end of each shift to ensure they are complete and accurate
• Maintains accurate inventory of raw materials required for operation of department. 
• Participates in the hiring process. Interview potential candidates and provide input to Production manager on candidate assessment and hiring decisions. 

Production Manager candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: 

• High school Diploma or GED
• 4 or more years of relatable experience, or associate's degree with 2 years of experience
• 1 or more years managing employees
• Ability to comprehend detailed written instructions and procedures. 
• Strong math and reading comprehension skills
• Able to lift up-to 50 lbs. on your own, able to push/pull up to 1000lbs. 
• Must demonstrate excellence in leadership, decision-making, problem solving and communication. 
• Ability to complete all pre-employment screenings.

This is a Full Time position 

Schedule is Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Pay for this position is $64,000- $75,000 DOE
