Job Summary

Maintains product levels and quality control in produce and floral departments, ensuring fresh fruits and vegetables are displayed according to Company standards and regulatory food safety practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains full stock conditions on produce and floral display racks.
• Operates pallet jack to unload and reload products (must be 18+ years).
• Ensures proper stocking, rotation, or disposal of dated products.
• Inspects product for quality and maintains food safety standards.
• Collects and disposes of trash into bailer (must be 18+ years).
• Assists customers and partners, responds to price check inquiries, and locates products.
• Promotes product sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Provides friendly, customer-oriented service, greeting customers and addressing complaints.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment by adhering to safety procedures and Company policies.
• Practices high sanitary standards for handling food products.
• Takes safety precautions when using equipment under supervision.
• Uses sharp tools for opening boxes and ensures quality presentation of products under supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack (must be 18+ years).
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment under supervision.
• Ability to handle objects carefully to avoid damage.
• Ability to work with sharp objects under supervision.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and promote a team environment.
• Ability to learn new systems and methods using various educational resources.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be attentive to potential hazards and report them to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Must be 18 years old to operate motorized equipment.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

• Continuously required to stand or walk.
• Continuously required to use hands for handling.
• Continuously required to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
• Continuously required to bend or squat.
• Frequently required to talk and hear.

• Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures.
• Attendance at work is required.

• Work is generally performed in a retail store.
