Pest Control Technician

The Pest Control Technician delivers safe and effective pest control treatment methods to our customers and provides exceptional services, including pest control treatments, bait installations/inspections, and spot treatments. The technician must be familiar with many different pests and termites in Hawaii. Pest Control Technicians are required to work towards acquiring the HDOA 7C General Pest Control Applicators license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working from Monday -Friday, with occasional Saturdays as per the rotation
• Safely driving/operating and maintaining a company provided service vehicle, with all issued pest control equipment
• Managing daily schedules, with good communication and planning to ensure timely arrival of each customer appointment
• Performing inspections for pests, pest harborages, and pest entry ways
• Determining, recommending, and providing effective pest control services
• Preparing detailed reports of daily services rendered for each customer
• Safely utilizing, securing, and storing pest control products and materials
• Applying chemical solutions, materials, or baits to eliminate pests as contracted
• Acquiring knowledge of pests and their habits
• Using appropriate protective gear and equipment during inspections and applications, following label laws and company protocols
• Engaging in physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, and working in various conditions

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Reside on the island of Maui
• Possess a valid Hawaii Driver's License
• Maintain a good driving record
• Pass a complete pre-employment drug screening
• Pass a pre-employment driving and criminal background check
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous customer service experience

Compensation Package:

• Starting at $20.00 Hourly, with potential to make up to $36.75
• Overtime Pay
