Office Technician (Typing) (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – San Diego Coast DISTRICT / NORTH SECTOR/NORTH SECTOR OFFICE

The reporting location for this position will be the North Sector Office in Carlsbad, CA . This position will work under the close supervision of the State Park Superintendent II.

We are looking for a highly motivated and independent person to join our State Parks team. The Office Technician will work collaboratively with a Senior Park Aide assigned to the front desk at the North Sector Office to accomplish all operational administrative duties. The Office Technician will be responsible for a large majority of administrative duties including but not limited to fiscal duties such as creating service requests, purchase orders, and credit card transactions. Additionally, the Office Technician will be involved in campground reservations, annual pass sales, public information, inquiries, and complaints, as well as general support of seasonal program needs and personnel.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

T he selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
