The Psychology Department at University of California, Berkeley, is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors (-Lecturer- title series) to teach courses in the Department of Psychology. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the Psychology Department.

Teaching Responsibilities We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach a range of possible courses that vary in size and subject area. Subject areas include the ones listed below (but are not limited to).

General Duties
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include (but are not limited to) managing graders and/or graduate student instructors (teaching assistants), holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and maintaining a course website. Those teaching large courses are expected to work with, meet with, and mentor graduate student instructors.
PhD or equivalent international degree, or enrolled in PhD or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)PhD or international equivalent degree by the start date of service. Applicant must be eligible to legally work in the United States.
Preferred qualificationsA track record of distinguished teaching to a diverse undergraduate student body.
