Chat Sports is expanding in Q4 2024, and we're seeking a dynamic, resourceful, and tech-savvy Junior D igital Video Producer to manage our production software for live and on-demand sports video news content. As we continue to grow our live and on-demand sports video entertainment network, this role offers the chance to dive deep into the world of sports video production.

***This role demands a strong base knowledge of sports news (and history), with a particular emphasis on the NFL, NBA, and College Football.***

As a Junior Digital Video Producer you will: 
- Spearhead the production desk for both live and on-demand video programming on YouTube, collaborating closely with show hosts
- Work side-by-side with our hosts to produce dozens of short-form videos weekly for one of our digital platform partners outside of our YouTube shows
- Engage in the full production lifecycle, from pre-production tasks like graphics creation and fact-checking to live production dynamics and post-production efforts including copywriting and distribution
- Contribute creatively, offering fresh ideas and insights to enhance our programming, with a sharp eye for trending topics and audience preferences
- Contribute on-air to engage with your host and audience in an informative and entertaining way
- Employ basic video editing skills in iMovie or equivalent (Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to edit in Premiere is a plus)
- Assist with marketing and social media distribution efforts, leveraging SEO and social media expertise to maximize reach and engagement

Requirements:
- Strong current and historical knowledge (and interest) in the NFL, NBA, and College Football
- A background of 1-2 years in live production or video journalism, with consideration given to recent graduates who possess applicable experience or skills
- Technical proficiency with computers and experience using Microsoft Office or Google Docs/Sheets, Dropbox, Windows, MacOS
- Experience in a live broadcast environment, including working with live production software and understanding live broadcast workflows
- Solid understanding of SEO principles (Search Engine Optimization)
- Knowledge of news video/TV production
- Exceptional research and writing capabilities, able to produce well-informed and engaging content
- Solid experience managing video content on social media channels, with a focus on maximizing engagement on Facebook and YouTube
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills and knowledge
- An understanding of the techniques involved in both production and post-production processes
- The ability to organize effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently

IMPORTANT: This position is based in Dallas, TX , and requires working in our live production studio. Weekend and evening work is expected, and remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available.

Our programming caters to our YouTube viewers, reaching over 20 million sports fans each month. We also partner with Amazon Sports to produce over 50 weekly videos for Alexa video devices, covering the NFL, NBA, NHL, and college football.

Our broadcasting style is a mix of news, opinions, entertainment, and engaging with our audience. We run 24 NFL shows, including 22 dedicated to specific teams. Each week, these shows feature up to two live broadcasts on YouTube, in addition to 6-7 on-demand videos, each about 12-15 minutes long.
