Investment Banking Associate - Specialty Finance, Financial Institutions Group (FIG)

New York, United States of America

Essential  Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Provides support to senior bankers.

  • Develop client presentation materials, including all background research, analysis and drafting.

  • Familiarity with financial models and other financial analysis.

  • Performing detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis.

  • Support product partners and monitor entire execution process for transactions ensuring timely execution to meet client expectations.

  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements and policies.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred for Associate level).


Work Experience:

  • Experience in Financial Institutions Group (FIG)  Investment Banking (3+ years with Bachelor's degree, 1+ years with MBA)

  • FIG Specialty Finance experience is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products.

  • Specialty Finance - Financial Institutions Group (FIG)  Investment Banking experience is required.

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advanced financial modeling skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player and self-starter.
