Residency Requirement: To ensure effective campus operations and student support, we require all staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly employees to reside within 200 road miles of their designated worksite in [Your State]. Requests for temporary relocation beyond this limit will be considered on a case-by-case basis, not exceeding twelve months.

Basic Function: Under general direction, you will perform instructional design work, collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance course designs through effective delivery methods and learning technologies. Additional duties will be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess needs, develop, design, and evaluate instructional tools and materials with faculty and campus leaders.
Provide training and technical support to faculty, focusing on online course development and technology integration.
Design and lead faculty development workshops on instructional design and technology.
Develop resources for equity-minded course design and advise on inclusive teaching practices.
Assist faculty in adopting and redesigning courses around Open Educational Resources (OER) and Zero Textbook Cost materials.
Collaborate with support staff to enhance online support services and integrate them effectively into courses.
Stay current with instructional design trends, multimedia technologies, and equity-minded pedagogy.
Analyze and present data to inform course design improvements and support student success.
Support faculty in ensuring materials and courses meet accessibility compliance.
Other Duties:
Participate in meetings and committees as required.
Engage in professional development and organizational involvement.
Perform related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficiency in course design, instructional techniques, and evaluation methods for various course formats.
Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including accessibility and copyright laws.
Ability to integrate instructional design methodologies and technologies effectively.
Proficiency with learning management systems and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to coach faculty on compliance and effective course design practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
At least three years of relevant experience in instructional design and development in an educational setting.
Licenses & Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and insurability under the district's vehicle insurance program.
Physical & Emotional Effort:
Primarily sedentary with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional public contact and local travel. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
