Job Description

Equipment Service Technician Location: Primarily based in California, with periodic travel to customer or company job sites. Scope and Purpose: The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, assembling, modifying, and repairing company foundation equipment, with a focus on specific company rigs. This role involves maintaining high standards of service, safety, and professionalism while supporting company operations domestically and internationally. Key Responsibilities: Inspect equipment for damages and perform operational tests on equipment and components. Clean equipment thoroughly to ensure proper functionality and presentation. Identify, order, and track parts required for repairs and maintenance. Safely rig, lift, and move equipment and components. Disassemble and reassemble equipment and components as needed. Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in both shop and field environments. Maintain a clean and organized work area and yard. Properly utilize and account for company tools, equipment, and assets. Travel domestically and internationally to provide on-site service and support. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions and uphold the company's reputation. Adhere to and promote occupational and professional safety practices, contributing to a safe work environment. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor. Organizational Relationships: This position requires adherence to company safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times. Requirements: 1. Education and Training: High school diploma required. Associate’s Degree in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical machinery-related fields preferred, or equivalent post-secondary diploma as deemed sufficient by management. 2. Technical Skills: Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to document findings and communicate effectively. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call duty as needed. Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%. Valid passport and driver’s license required. 3. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of directly related training and/or experience in equipment service and repair. 4. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, kneel, and crawl. Physical and mental capability to travel independently and comply with workshop, office, and job site safety requirements. Ability to operate heavy machinery, vehicles, cranes, lifting equipment, computers, and diagnostic tools. Accountability: The Equipment Service Technician is accountable for delivering excellent service to internal and external customers by performing timely maintenance, inspections, repairs, and cleaning of equipment to support company sales and operations. Competency: The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to meet or exceed the performance expectations outlined above, ensuring a positive impact on company operations and customer satisfaction.
