Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented paralegal to join our team in a remote, contract-based role. This is a 1099 freelance position, perfect for someone with expertise in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Real Estate Title work, especially under Florida State Law. While Florida residents are preferred, we are open to candidates from other locations if they can demonstrate relevant experience within Florida.
This role offers the flexibility of working from home, with up to 10 hours per week, with the potential for more hours in the future. You'll be working directly with clients and attorneys via phone, Zoom, or Google Meet, providing vital support through a variety of legal tasks. We're seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines with efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Draft and review documents for estate planning, trust administration, and real estate title matters in accordance with Florida law.
Organize and collect necessary documents from clients and local/state agencies, ensuring everything is up to date.
Provide e-filing support, as well as the preparation and response to discovery requests.
Maintain and manage electronic case files, keeping everything organized and easily accessible.
Coordinate schedules by calendaring deadlines and scheduling hearings or depositions.
Communicate with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, judicial offices, and other involved parties to ensure smooth case progression.
Conduct legal research as needed.
Meet with clients as necessary via phone or Zoom.
Software & Tools:
Experience with Wealth Counsel/Form Builder (WestLaw) and Clio is preferred.
Candidate must have their own Microsoft Office and Adobe programs.
Hours & Compensation:
Up to 10 hours per week with the possibility for additional hours as the role expands.
Compensation: $30 per hour, with bi-monthly payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in estate planning, trust administration, or real estate title work.
Must be a full-time freelancer, with no existing W2 commitments.
Availability during business hours (Monday-Friday) within the client's time zone.
A Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree is required.
Must have a reliable computer with at least 8 GB of RAM (preferably 16 GB) and a preference for SSD storage.
Experience with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents in estate planning, trust administration, and real estate law.
Ability to maintain organized electronic case files, schedule hearings, and meet deadlines efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of professionals.
