Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Financial Analyst to support the business and finance teams, with a focus on managing Fixed Opex costs. This role will focus on both core financial planning cycles, including Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts and Annual Operating Plans, as well as ongoing controllership. This role provides exposure to both finance partners and business operations teams.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of core accounting concepts and exceptional excel/BI/systems skills. The ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and pay keen attention to details is key. Prior FP&A experience is preferred but not required.

Key job responsibilities
- Participate in month end, quarterly, and annual operating financial planning working cross functionally with various teams, including Studios & MGM finance, accounting, and business operations
- Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership
- Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist business operations teams with opening PO's, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to approved budgets
- Work with various accounting/financial systems, including Cognos, Essbase, SAP, Oracle, and Coupa

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of finance experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
