DESCRIPTION

Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Finance Manager to support the business and finance teams, with a focus on managing the financial planning efforts, with direct ownership of the profit and loss consolidation. This role will focus on both core financial planning cycles, including Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts and Annual Operating Plans, as well as ongoing controllership. Further, this role will lead FP&A efforts around special projects, such as M&A and business/system integrations. This role provides exposure to both finance partners and business operations teams.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid business judgement capable of driving an organization to the right results, strong business partnership building, exceptional excel/systems skills, keen attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. They will have demonstrated success in a fast-paced, complex, global, results-oriented environment. The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work efficiently and autonomously. They must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically and manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead month end, quarterly, annual operating financial planning working cross functionally with various teams, including Prime Video finance, accounting, and business operations
• Ensure data is accurately reflected in financial planning systems, including Essbase and Cognos
• Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership
• Ad hoc project support on company-wide strategic initiatives
• Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
• Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
