Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer , who will be responsible for the design of thermal infrastructure systems as a part of a project team. Experience in the design of institutional, educational, healthcare, laboratory and military projects is desired. The candidate should have a proven track record of solid design work, meeting project deadlines and budgets, and working well in a team environment.

Prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements. Projects may include; design of thermal distribution systems, campus master planning, condition assessments, central utility plant design, district heating plants, building conversions.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Passed the fundamentals of engineering (FE) exam
• 0-2 years of experience in the design of thermal distribution systems, central utility plants, and/or building HVAC systems.
• Self-motivated and well organized.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Drafting experience is a plus.
• Experience in AutoCAD and/or Civil3D is a plus.
• Experience in pipe stress modeling is a plus.
