Illinois Early Intervention Credential
CPR Certification
Spanish speaking a plus, but not required.
Job Description
We provide therapy services in the child's natural setting, which may include home, daycare, playground or school for the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
We are currently looking for a pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is an Illinois Early Intervention credentialed provider. The ideal PTA is a strong communicator, that interacts well with families, can work autonomously, is self-driven and works well as a member of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Working closely with and providing feedback to a Physical Therapist who will develop an individual plan of care for children with a variety of conditions, impairments and developmental delays.
Implementing and carrying out a plan of care, identifying when changes need to be made, providing feedback and suggestions that will benefit your patient.
Educating parents and guardians on therapy approaches and strategies to incorporate into their daily life.
Scheduling patients when they are added to your caseload and ongoing scheduling modification as needed.
Completing and submitting accurate documentation within 24 hours of service.
Ensuring safe handling of patients who are under your care.
Providing your own transportation to and from the location where treatment will take place.
Adhering to Covid-19 precautions such as administering screening questions, wearing proper PPE at all times, proper hand hygiene and sanitization of all equipment used.
