Mission: 

As a Media Buyer at PolicyBind, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing media buying strategies across various digital platforms. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing budgets, and ensuring the effectiveness of media campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital marketing, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in search, social, and programmatic media channels.

Must Have:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing Search, Social, and Programmatic channels, including but not limited to Google, Bing, Meta and DSPs
  • Proven track record working with annual media budgets in the range of $X-XXMM
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools like Google Analytics and reporting tools such as Data Studio, Looker, and Tableau
  • Excellent understanding of audience targeting and segmentation strategies
  • Expertise in A/B testing and optimization techniques to enhance campaign performance
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Humble attitude and strong intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement effective media buying strategies that align with the company’s marketing goals and target audience
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate media budgets efficiently to maximize ROI while staying within budget constraints
  • Campaign Execution: Execute media buying campaigns across various digital channels, including display, social media, search, and video advertising
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and opportunities for media placements
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with media vendors and platforms to secure the best possible deals
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of media campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize results
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports on media buying activities, campaign performance, and ROI, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, creative, and analytics teams to ensure cohesive and effective media campaigns
  • Compliance: Ensure all media buying activities comply with industry regulations and company policies

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Media Buyer, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of digital media channels and advertising platforms
  • Experience with programmatic buying and RTB (Real-Time Bidding)
  • Familiarity with performance marketing and CPA (Cost Per Action) campaigns
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC advertising
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in media buying software and tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Your Contribution to the Team

Here's the core competencies that will make you successful in this role:

  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Media Buyer or Assistant Media Buyer with experience with programmatic buying and RTB (Real-Time Bidding), familiarity with performance marketing and CPA (Cost Per Action) campaigns, knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC advertising and understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce. Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strategic Thinking : Strong strategic planning abilities with a focus on long-term goals and continuous improvement.
