Job Summary:
Works with all clinical staff including providers and external sources to ensure compliance with Credentialing Policies and Procedures, AAAHC, HRSA, FTCA guidelines and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for verifying the credentials of prospective new hires and current clinical staff and responsible for the initial and reappointment process of CHC’s clinical staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of general business experience required
  • Human Resources experience preferred
  • Credential Stream or other credentialing software experience preferred.
  • Proficient in computer technology, developing reports and data entry required
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred

 

Certification/Licensure:  

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Detail oriented and able to work independently, have excellent communication both verbal and written, organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work and a self-starter. 
  • Analytical ability to gather and summarize data. 
  • Reliable, tactful, honest and discreet, maintains confidentiality at all times. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize, along with good organizational skill.
  • Ability to interpret and follow complex directions.

 

Other requirements:

  • Requires traveling to all CHC Centers
  • Other duties as assigned
