Job Title: Construction/General Labor Crew Member

Location: Greenwood, SC

Job Type: Full-time

$15-$17/H

Job Summary:

A Construction/Demolition Crew Member is responsible for various tasks related to the construction, deconstruction, and cleanup of buildings, structures, and other projects. This role involves physical labor, operating machinery, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in construction and demolition tasks, able to work in various weather conditions, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation and Cleanup:

• Prepare construction or demolition sites by clearing debris and hazardous materials.
• Set up and take down scaffolding, barriers, and other temporary structures.
• Ensure sites are clean and organized post-completion.

1. Demolition Tasks:

• Operate demolition tools and machinery
• Safely dismantle buildings, structures, and other constructions.
• Sort and salvage materials for recycling or disposal.

1. Construction Tasks:

• Assist in the construction of structures, including framing, roofing, and other tasks as assigned.
• Load and unload construction materials and move them to appropriate locations.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other materials.

1. Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report potential hazards to the supervisor.
• Participate in safety training sessions and drills.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Communicate effectively to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

1. Additional Duties:

• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in construction or demolition work is preferred.
• Skills:
• Ability to operate and maintain various construction and demolition tools and machinery.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of construction and demolition techniques and safety regulations.
• Certifications: OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Primarily outdoor work, often in noisy and dusty environments.
• Schedule: Varies based on project needs; may include evenings, weekends, and overtime.
