We are seeking a meticulous Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance for MH Besium and its clients. This fully remote role offers an hourly pay of $37.50 paid training and a flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle.
The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that MH Besium and its clients adhere to all relevant laws regulations and ethical standards related to bookkeeping payroll and accounting practices. This role involves monitoring regulatory changes implementing compliance measures and advising internal teams and clients on best practices to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret federal state and local laws and regulations related to bookkeeping payroll and accounting.
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal and client audits to ensure adherence to established guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide compliance training to internal teams and offer guidance to clients on regulatory obligations.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities audits and reports.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Work closely with other departments such as bookkeeping and payroll to ensure integrated compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance preferably in financial services or accounting.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance Law or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g. Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional CCEP Certified Public Accountant CPA) are a plus.
- Indepth understanding of compliance requirements for bookkeeping payroll and public accounting.
- Strong ability to assess risks interpret regulations and develop effective compliance strategies.
- Exceptional accuracy in monitoring and documenting compliance activities.
- Proficient in identifying compliance issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for delivering training reports and guidance.
- Familiarity with compliance management tools and accounting software.
