Position Summary The Camp Property Manager is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of Camp Ehawee, ensuring the camp remains a welcoming, functional, and safe environment for all visitors and campers. This role requires the individual to live onsite and serve as the primary point of contact for camp operations, maintenance, and emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilities Management - Oversee the maintenance and repair of all camp facilities, equipment, and grounds, including cabins, lodges, trails, and outdoor activity areas.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of all facilities.
- Manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
- Coordinate and support seasonal opening and closing of camp facilities.
Grounds and Equipment Maintenance - Maintain trails, landscaping, and outdoor recreational areas to provide a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment, including tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles.
- Monitor and manage utility systems, including water, septic, and electrical systems.
Safety and Emergency Management - Serve as the onsite emergency responder, addressing and resolving incidents or accidents in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with local emergency services and follow established emergency protocols.
Community Engagement - Act as a welcoming onsite host for camp visitors, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
- Support camp programs by working closely with program staff to prepare facilities and assist during events as needed.
- Foster a strong sense of community among campers, staff, and volunteers.
Administrative Duties - Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inventory.
- Assist in budget preparation by providing input on facility and equipment needs.
- Submit regular reports to the Property Manager regarding camp conditions and updates.
- Belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law and Wisconsin Badgerland Girl Scouts mission, vision, and values.
Education or Experience - Proven experience in property, facilities, or camp management.
- Strong knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping.
- Ability to operate and maintain tools, equipment, and utility systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, volunteers, and guests.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with local building codes and environmental regulations.
- Program design, training and facilitation skills.
- Ability to lead, organize, and delegate work.
- Possesses critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Be able to react in a crisis situation with a clear mind.
- Be or become a registered member of the Girls Scouts of the United States of America; have a working knowledge of Girl Scout philosophy and programming, and be committed to the Girl Scout mission. Prior Girl Scout experience not required.
Other Requirements - Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
- Anticipated time away from property is 10%.
- Possess a valid drivers License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
- Must pass a national criminal history and Sex Offender background checks.
- Must be able to work independently on-site.

- Must be able to work in an outside environment, where you have the ability to walk/hike daily, at various grades, elevations, and on uneven terrain.
- Operate office and building maintenance equipment manually.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at times.

Additional Information - Onsite housing is provided as part of the employment package.
- The fair market value of the housing provided will be considered taxable income in accordance with IRS regulations.
