Overview The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Hard Rock's business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. This role ensures organizational resilience by coordinating risk assessments, crafting response strategies, and conducting regular testing to protect critical data assets while maintaining compliance with global data protection regulations.
Responsibilities Disaster Recovery Strategy Development & Execution - Design and implement comprehensive business continuity plans.
- Enhance operational resiliency through automated backups and incident response improvements.
- Develop, schedule, and coordinate disaster recovery tests, document results, identify gaps, and collaborate with teams to enhance recovery processes.
Business Continuity Planning - Develop and maintain detailed business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct business impact analyses to identify critical processes, systems, and dependencies.
Risk Management - Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, and Legal teams to assess data integrity and availability threats.
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity.
Training & Awareness - Design and deliver staff training on business continuity protocols.
- Facilitate workshops and simulation exercises to test preparedness.
Incident Response Coordination - Act as a key member of the incident response team.
- Coordinate response activities during disruptive events, such as data breaches or cyberattacks.
- Schedule and lead tabletop exercises.
Compliance & Reporting - Ensure alignment with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 22301).
- Maintain records and generate reports for audits and regulatory reviews.
Team Leadership & Collaboration - Foster leadership within the team to drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors for unified responses.
Policy Development - Establish clear cybersecurity guidelines aligning with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and governance policies.
Scope of Work - Develop technology recovery strategies, process improvements, and annual testing.
- Lead the implementation of a centralized disaster recovery information repository.
- Manage relationships with internal teams and third-party providers for disaster recovery execution.
- Monitor adherence to SLAs and ensure regular DR plan exercises.
- Act as Incident Manager during actual disasters.
- Partner with key organizational leaders to ensure DR process compliance.
- Monitor and report recovery time and point KPIs/KRIs relative to RTO and RPO.
- Lead and manage disaster recovery analysts and coordinators.
Resource Management This managerial role coordinates work across multiple teams and oversees on-site and third-party resources for disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications - BS in Information Systems or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of IT and technology life-cycle management experience.
- Knowledge in IT infrastructure areas (Storage, Databases, Networks, Security, Cloud Platforms).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST-800-53, CIS Controls).
- Expertise in disaster recovery best practices and methodologies.
- Strong project management, communication, and vendor management skills.
Preferred Qualifications - 5-8 years of IT disaster recovery or crisis management experience.
- Experience managing cloud-based application recovery.
- Experience in gaming, 24-hour operations, or casino regulation.
- Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity frameworks and data protection laws (i.e., NIST CSF v2.0, ISO27001, NIST AI Risk Management and Data Protection laws, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Gaming Experience and/or experience with 24-hour operations.
Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to operational areas (e.g., casino floors), which may include environmental factors like noise or secondhand smoke. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and manual tasks.
