Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience in athletic administration, preferably in a school setting. They should have knowledge of facility management principles and best practices and experience with athletic equipment maintenance, purchasing, and budget management. Candidates should have experience practicing and coaching a sport at a varsity level and understand high school athletes’ development through adolescence. Other qualifications include strong communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with colleagues.
Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life and work, have demonstrated experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment, and have a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
