**Job Summary:**
As an Assistant Bookkeeper in our Business Management department, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as performing daily financial entries and reconciliations.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Efficiently process and track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, invoices, and vendor relationships to support smooth cash flow.
- Regularly reconcile multiple bank accounts and financial statements, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee and manage the financial records of multiple clients, including daily data entry and invoicing, ensuring accurate reflection of financial transactions.
- Maintain precise ledgers for each client and assist in preparing financial reports as needed, ensuring proper classification and recording of all financial data.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help prepare internal financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other summaries as required.
- Support tax filings, including processing 1099s and assisting with quarterly and annual tax returns for clients.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Perform clerical functions such as photocopying, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents as needed.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience:**
**Required:**
- 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience in a business management setting.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
**Preferred:**
- Knowledge of Datafaction/AgilLink.
- Experience with processing 1099s, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
**Required Skills and Abilities:**
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
