Does your passion for residents stimulate your creative energy and sense of dedication to ensure that each person in your care has documented activities of interest? We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker to become our Activities Director. The ideal candidate will appeal to all residents from all backgrounds and provide an opportunity to celebrate every individual by expressing creative talent and fulfilling our residents' basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities and Purpose

• Initiate and promote activities both within and outside the institution to stimulate and promote resident interest and general well-being.
• Encourage social communication among residents through group activities, recreation, and one-on-one activities.
• Plan trips (shopping, scenic, other) and arrange for transportation and supervision.
• Encourage intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and other community activities.
• Comply with safety regulations and policies—knowledge of federal and state guidelines.

Desired Experience and Education

• One (1) or more years experience in a skilled nursing environment strongly preferred.
