Position Summary
The Turnberry corporate summer internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with a well-established South Florida company. The program is intended to develop the business leaders of tomorrow. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking and social events with other Team Members and fellow interns.
The internship will be in person at our Aventura Mall corporate office beginning in May and ending in August. Interns will work full-time 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
Responsibilities:
The
Accounting Intern (this is a PAID program ) will be reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, and will be handling both short-term and summer-long assignments depending on the needs of the Company, which may include:
- Aid in reviewing vendor files
- Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation
- Utilize accounting software system to facilitate processes and maintain records
- Assist with month-end financial reports
- Assist with audits
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing
- Data entry
- Responsible for a high level of confidentiality and security while handing personal information; verbal and/or written documentation
- Perform other support/administrative tasks as requested

Qualifications:
- Part-time or full-time students who are Juniors or Seniors, are enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program at an accredited college or university, and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics or a closely related discipline
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule over 12 weeks (about 3 months) for internship period starting May
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Corporate Office
- Demonstrates dependability when following instructions, responding to management direction, and completing tasks in a timely manner or notifying appropriate person with an alternate plan
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products-Excel, Word, Outlook
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking and broad communication skills are essential
